Change of use to mixed use of micro-brewery including tap room

Recommend approval

Goudhurst Parish Council (GPC) supports the proposal to establish a micro-brewery providing the Use Class is restricted to B1 only.

However, GPC objects to any change of use to B2 due to potential noise, smells and disturbances resulting from potential other than micro-brewery and tap room activities bearing in mind that the location is in a residential area and the AONB.  There is also the possibility of unacceptable levels of extra traffic in the lane and parking.

In the event that B2 is granted, this should be for micro-brewery use only.   GPC believes that granting an A4 use would be inappropriate in this setting for the reasons stated above.
