I summon you to an Extra Meeting of the Highways & Footpaths Committee to be held at The Jessel Room, Goudhurst Parish Hall on Tuesday 23 January 2017 at 7.00pm when the following business will be considered:

2. Declarations of Interest
Members are reminded to declare any Personal or Prejudicial Interests relating to the business to be discussed in accordance with Council’s Standing Orders.
3. A262 Traffic Regulation Order
Committee to consider previously discussed proposals relating to the drawing up and submitting a Traffic Regulation Order (TRO) to include or not:
To downgrade the A262 from Wilsley Pound (Cranbrook) to Forstal Farm Roundabout (Lamberhurst);
To prohibit Heavy Goods Vehicles (HGVs) above a certain size to transit Goudhurst Parish (except for the purposes of setting down and picking up goods locally);
To establish a reduction in the speed limit on the A262 east of Goudhurst village and at the same time gain recognition for the hamlet of Iden Green;
Consider the consultancy proposals dated 11 January and 16 January 2018 from Socium together with the proposed costs of relating to their services;
Consider action to be taken regarding the related DfT consultation on proposals for the creation of a Major Road Network for which the deadline for comments is 19 March 2018.
Agree on proposals to be bought to Council for Agreement.
