I summon you to a Meeting of the Highways & Footpaths Committee to be held at St Mary’s Church Goudhurst on Tuesday 24 April 2018 at 7.30pm when the following business will be considered: 

Members of the Public and the Press are welcome to attend this meeting.  At the Chairman’s discretion members of the public may be invited to speak for a maximum of 3 minutes each relating to items on the Agenda.  Please state your name and address prior to speaking.  Smoking is not allowed during Council meetings.  Please switch off mobile phones.

 1. Apologies for Absence as reported at the meeting.

2. Declarations of Interest 

Members are reminded to declare any Personal or Prejudicial Interests relating to the business to be discussed in accordance with Council’s Standing Orders.  

3. PROW – Footpaths

Committee Chairman to report on outstanding matters.

4. Footways

Committee Chairman to report on progress with the proposed path through the swale along the A262 Station Road at the junction with Bluecoats Lane.  To note that we await a response from KCC PROW  team on certain matters relating to the status of the proposed path and insurance issues.  

5. Roads and Parking

a.To note that DHA Transport has produced a Technical report ‘A262 Reclassification Study’

dated April 2018.

b.To report on the application to lower the speed limit on A21 Hastings Road. To note that

The Clerk has written twice to Highways England on 16 February (acknowledgement 

received) and 03 April to which there has been no response.

c.Electronic Vehicle (EV) charging points progress.  To receive a progress report. 

d.SID installation.  To receive an update from the Committee Chairman.

6. Public Transport

To receive an update on the ‘free’ school bus services to/from Cranbrook.

7. Hop Pickers Line Heritage Group

To receive a report from the Committee Chairman on progress.
