The Glebe Fields
The Chairman will give a progress report on the Lease of the Glebe Fields from the Diocese of Canterbury.

Christmas on the Plain – 2018
Committee to consider a proposal to erect a sponsored Christmas tree on The Plain.
The Silent Soldier.
The Royal British Legion has launched a national project to mark the 100th anniversary of World War 1 called the ‘Silent Soldier’. The RBL Goudhurst Branch seeks approval to place a ‘Silent Soldier’ silhouette figure at the Goudhurst War Memorial until November 2018.
Extra Litter Bins
With the imminent signing of the Glebe Fields lease a proposal has been put forward to carry out an inventory of the number of litter bins in that area and at strategic points in other parts of the Parish. To be considered with a view to bringing recommendations to Council
Council will be taking responsibility for the Children’s Play Area in Back Lane by the Church Room with the signing of the Glebe Fields lease. To note that the Chairmen of the Amenities and Youth Committees with the Clerk will meet with a Play Ground Inspector on-site on 26 April 2018 to assess the condition of the area and the equipment presently there.
Amenities Lorry Service on Sundays.
To note a charge of £1,245.93 for 2017/18 just received. Previously approved by Minute 263/16 of 12 December 2016.
To consider a proposal that Council should commission a documented tree survey of trees on GPC’s land (and the two Churchyards) as being best practice and as encouraged by insurance companies.
